The problem in this case is that both entries point to the same page in OpenLibrary, http://openlibrary.org/books/OL6391759M/The_Snow-Estes_ancestry_... . There is only one eBook link in the page, and it points at volume 1.

This is a problem with several other works, although not all the multi-volume works I checked. Would the problem have to be reported separately in every case?

Thanks, Jeff. The link seems to be working to the extent that it seems to point at the right volume. However, as has sometimes happened before, I'm getting this error:

Unable to download
Error getting License. Server Communication Problem: E_STREAM_ERROR:

It was actually the Adobe Digital Edition, but I tried again a few minutes ago and it worked fine, and retrieved the correct volume.
